Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director and supermodel. Alongside her stunning elegance, her continued successes in the film industry can be attributed to her talents as an actor. As a young model, she began her career in the 1970s. Her popularity quickly grew in the modeling industry. In the early 1990s she started studying the theatre and acting. In the following years, after that, in Los Angeles and California she began to make her stage debuts. Russo debuted on screen on ABCs Sable drama series in 1987, playing Eden Kendell. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest two years later with Major League, her debut film. Critics were initially skeptical of her acting skills however her steady performance won them over. They were particularly impressed by her performance in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak In which she fought her own against the likes of Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. She claims that she didn't have a love for acting. She self-imposed a long break in 2005. Then she returned as a part of the movie about superheroes Thor. Her husband's Oscar-winning movie Nightcrawler was also one of her performances. The Intern was her first light-hearted comedy. Her next film was to make appearances in Just Getting Started and other comedy films.

Rose Namajunas has been one of UFC's most prominent female athletes. She began her professional career by being an amateur, performing various regional competitions before signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. And later she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. After joining in the UFC in 2011, she became known as a household name thanks to the popularity she had achieved inside and outside of octagon. Namajunas was born on June 29th, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose was a basketball player as well as kickboxing when she was growing up. Invicta Fighting Championships gave her the opportunity to make her debut as a professional at age 18 when she submitted two of her opponents. This caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to join UFC the strawweight division in December 2014 at just 22 years old. Rose's career has seen extremes, as well as lows and she's capable of coming out of her fights in the top position. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 to win the Women's Strawweight Champion. She won the fight by technical knockout within 3 minutes of the first round. This was the first ever women to compete in a title fight with any of the major promotions in the world. Namajunas won several fights following this fight and was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC after her wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
